What is PON?
Project of Narratives Architects was founded on the belief that every place is shaped by a collection of narratives. These narratives come from people, places, culture, and the experiences that unfold over time.
The name PON carries another meaning as well. In Japanese, “pon” sounds similar to the word associated with bread. We are drawn to the idea that something as simple as bread can take countless forms, bring people together, and become part of everyday life.
We see architecture in much the same way. The places we remember most are rarely defined by buildings alone, but by the experiences they make possible. Conversations shared around a table. Discoveries around a corner. Everyday routines that become meaningful rituals. Memories that stay with us long after we leave.
At PON, we are interested not only in designing spaces, but in shaping the stories, experiences, and connections that unfold within them. Our goal is to create places people remember, return to, and share.

We believe meaningful places are discovered rather than imposed.
Every project begins with curiosity. Through observation, conversation, and exploration, we seek to uncover the stories, opportunities, and possibilities that already exist within a place.
Rather than starting with a predetermined aesthetic or formula, we allow each project to reveal its own character. The result is architecture shaped not only by function, but by experience, memory, and human connection.
Our work is guided by three principles:
01. Experiential Narratives
We design not only spaces, but also the experiences that unfold within them. Architecture becomes meaningful when it supports gathering, interaction, discovery, and memory.
02. Playful Discovery
Curiosity creates engagement. Small moments of surprise, exploration, and delight can transform an ordinary environment into one that people genuinely remember.
03. Destination Making
The most memorable places become destinations in their own right. We strive to create places people choose to visit, return to, and share.
